Welcome to Phoenix Erectors. My name is Gary Comeau, President. Phoenix Erectors is a full service  Precast erecting sub-contractor that works throughout the Greater Toronto Area. We are based out of Hamilton, Ontario and partnered with LiUNA Local 837.

As a mythical creature, the Phoenix is known for rising from the ashes, creating new life, and thriving. As child growing up, I had my share of adversity -  as a leukemia survivor by age 6, and type 1 diabetic by age 13 and still managed to arrive to an adulthood I could never have dreamed of; with a beautiful wife and 2 wonderful children.

It is my intention to follow a similar trajectory with my business as I have in life; to approach it with eyes and heart open, treating those around me with respect and honesty and treating everyone on my team the way I would want to be treated; like family.  Growing up with a father, who had struggled in the steel business for 25 years and lost everything 3 times; I have seen the dedication of someone willing to put it all on the line for his family. Because of him especially, I am driven to make Phoenix Erectors Rise Up and thrive. 

In 2025, Phoenix Erectors is now offering our services an experience as hoisting, rigging and erecting consultants. Whether a big job, or small job; if it needs special attention we can use the combined 70+years of experience to help!

As a structural Ironworker with 12 years experience, I believe I bring a new perspective to the precast erection market. Understanding the superstructure and the relationship and difficulties that can arise between that and the exterior facade allows me to find creative solutions for problems that might seem bigger than they truly are.

I know the importance of honor, respect, and duty and will represent every client as if they were part of my small family; you will always have someone on site that is looking out for your best interests and those of our team.

The key to success in any relationship is communication, transparency and respect. With these key ingredients Phoenix Erectors will foster great relationships with all parties on any job site, from other trades, to supervision or ownership.
